Scott Oliver AIA, NCARB, LEED AP
Scott Oliver has 25 years of design experience, working nationally and internationally, for which he has received local and national AIA design awards. Scott’s work under other roofs is large-scale, from the design of a new city in the Middle East for half a million inhabitants to an LEED platinum municipal service building completed in spring 2010.
Having grown up in Phoenix, Scott received his Bachelor of Architecture from Arizona State University. He then worked for four years in the Valley, garnering an equal number of design awards for his design work. In 1985 he spent a year traveling around the world. When he returned, Scott’s interest in cities led him to Boston, and then to San Francisco. After a decade of practice, Scott returned to graduate school, receiving a Master of Architecture from the University of California, LA. While in graduate school he worked with Dagmar Richter on an international competion for The Royal National Library in Copenhagen, Denmark. Their proposal won second prize. In addition to practicing architecture, Scott lectures and participates as a guest critic at various universities here and in Asia.
