noroof is a design/research collaboration of emerging designers and senior architects led by two award-winning architect-educators, Margarita McGrath and Scott Oliver.
noroof is a member of the Green Building Council, and both partners are LEED APs.
noroof has received national and international recognition for focusing its energies on the challenges of designing the super small versus the super tall.
noroof‘s first project, the slot house, won an AIA National Housing Award (2008 “a refined and rigorous little house”), AIA National Small Practice Practitioner’s Award (2008).
Each of the people and organizations below has made vital contributions to building a portfolio of award-winning work.
noroofers are curious, clear-headed, and passionate about creating thoughtful, accessible design for sustainable lives.
Before founding noroof, Margarita McGrath and Scott Oliver practiced, taught, lived and traveled extensively in Asia, Europe, and across the United States.
